Fitted Inca polygonal stone masonry

About Pirka

A Seattle remodeling company named for the stone wall.

Pirka (PEER-kah) is Quechua, the language of the Andes. It names the fitted stone walls that still define Cusco and Machu Picchu.

Our story

500 years of earthquakes, still standing.

The Inca walls of Machu Picchu and Cusco still stand after 500 years of earthquakes. Their builders cut each stone to lock against the next, so the wall moves as one and settles back into place.

Our mark is the chakana, the Andean cross, built step by step. Each step rests on the one below it. That is how Pirka runs a remodel: a sequence of decisions, each one solid before the next begins.

We bring that discipline to homes and businesses in Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland and across the Eastside. Precise, fitted, built to last.

Our principles

Three words carried from the Andes.

Precise

Inca masons shaped each stone to its neighbors without mortar. We measure, plan the sequence, and fit every element to what is already there.

Fitted

A remodel lives inside an existing structure. We design around its framing, its history and the way you use every room.

Built to last

Methods and materials chosen for the Puget Sound climate and for decades of daily use, not for the day of the reveal.

The Pirka chakana mark

The chakana

Built step by step.

The chakana is the Andean stepped cross. At its center, in gold, is the inti: the sun. Around it, every step is stacked with intention. It is the shape of how we build.
